As Carlos Cortez Does it: You will Too!

Since Carlos Cortez just created this site, wait, Carlos Cortez is me, so I will say Carlos Cortez, me, and I will intertwine and be used interchangeably.

First a bit of Carlos Cortez

You will know more about me, in my about page, when I first introduce it, at the time of this writing, I haven’t created it yet. But I will, as I continue with this post and the next to follow.

Carlos Cortez, runs a business, an online business, where I create websites for local business owners. The local business owners may like a website to advertise their business, so I make it happen.

It’s not really hard work, but a bit time consuming, and that is fine by me.

Let it be known, that Carlos Cortez will design a business website for your RGV local marketing needs or your affiliate marketing page, and go beyond the expected, so that you can feel comfortable that you can be found when customers are looking for you.

But that is not all that I do.  I also have other websites, which does affiliate marketing, network marketing, and all with email marketing.

What Carlos Cortez Does First

The first thing I would do, is change the settings for this page, I will make it user search engine friendly, without publishing any other pages, or adding anything, but changing the search engine settings to make it happy.

I will change, the side bar widgets to include only what I want there, for now, I will be a latest post section.

I will change my default category to that of the main keyword. Then I will black list common spammers, and you know the ones, and I will also hold comments for moderation, those with more links that are necessary.

I will also add, that I will not accept comments without a user proving a name. A real name, or their pen name, but not a keyword name for their site. But I will judge that.

I will also add a plugins, in the background, but the first two that I will add, will be, to be able to have people comment, and avoid spam.

I will add : Akismet for spammers.

For this new site, I will add: Comments-Reloaded, to have people comment.

And other plugins…

I will show you all those in time…

Then I will log into a third party site to use my image, as a reply person to my comments.

I do have to say, that I will add images, and with those images, I will add an alt text.  An alt text is a description of the image, so that others plus search engines know what it is.

As I type this article, I have no images, but after this article is done, there will be some, and alt text for them, will be added.

I kinda like to work backwards, but everyone has their own way of doing things…

For me, it is to get it out there, get it indexed, and set it out.

I will add images, and a featured image, and then modify them later.  For now, I need to get indexed. All the other work, comes later, as we will discuss.

What is the Second Thing That Carlos Cortez Does Next?

When working on a website, for RGV website designs, I first create a post, that will target a keyword and a few secondary keywords, and that is it.

And in this case, it will be Carlos Cortez.

No secondary keywords as of yet, but local business websites, or affordable websites will be good.

But for secondary keywords, I will add categories, and make those categories into pages as well.

What is the Third Thing That Carlos Cortez Does Next?

Well, truth be told, there are many things, that I can do, but first I have to index the site, so as soon as I finish writing this, I will post it to twitter.

Since I have provided a single action for my post, as a main keyword, me, I can now publish it, so it can be indexed quickly so that I can be found on the search engines.

After I publish my post, as mentioned before, I will share it on twitter, then I will ping it, I will share it with other social media accounts, and then, and only then, will I start the other things, which will be published next.

Such as adding other pages, creating a homepage, and customizing images, video and the like.

This is a new site, so I just wanted accessible to the search engines, so that it can find CarlosCortez.net. And you will see it’s unfolding.

Since I have not added nothing yet, you might ask how can I share it?

That is the easy part, paste the url to your other accounts, if it’s too long, then go to bitly for now, and get a short url to share.
